The workshop leader, Mubarak Abdulla, has over 14 years experience in architecting, designing and developing software systems. He has provided architecture consulting and training to architects, architecture teams and their management at the project, organization and business unit levels, and has helped teams develop software, firmware, system and enterprise architectures for manufacturing and service companies. He has been consulting and training for more than 50 corporates all over the world.

He has architected a number of successful large-scale implementations on the Microsoft, JEE and C++ platform. These include highly secure applications for funds management and online applications supporting thousands of users. Mubarak specializes in training, mentoring and high-end architecture consulting services focusing on Architecture Driven Development, Architecture Evaluation and Architecture cost Estimation. Mubarak is a proponent of SOA, Software Factories and Smart Client development.

He has assembled and organized software development teams from the ground up and facilitated many successful large-scale enterprise application deployments. He has spoken at a variety of conferences related to Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Application Architecture and Emerging Enterprise Technologies. He speaks at conferences both nationally and internationally and has written several articles in addition to maintaining a blog. He is currently writing a book on Architecture Evaluation.
